Description

A light and crispy air fryer shrimp dish that’s healthy, easy, and delicious, perfect for impressing family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp by ensuring they are peeled and deveined, then pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked egg whites, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with shredded coconut and spices.
  3. Dredge each shrimp in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip it into the egg whites.
  4. Press each shrimp into the panko-coconut mixture to ensure an even coating.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Arrange the coated shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate shrimp with lime juice before breading. Serve with a fresh salad or dipping sauce.
