Description

A delicious, creamy tuna sushi bake that brings the flavors of sushi to your kitchen in a warm, satisfying dish, perfect for one.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz canned tuna, drained
  • 1 ½ tbs Japanese mayo
  • ½ tbs sriracha
  • 1 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup white rice, cooked
  • Furikake seasoning
  • Drizzle of Japanese mayo
  • Drizzle of sriracha
  • Drizzle of eel sauce
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • Roasted seaweed
  • Avocado, sliced
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • Eel sauce
  • Spicy mayo

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the drained tuna, Japanese mayo, sriracha, and cream cheese until well combined.
  2. In a small baking dish, layer the cooked white rice evenly at the bottom.
  3. Sprinkle a layer of furikake over the rice for that unique umami flavor.
  4. Spread the tuna mixture over the furikake.
  5. Drizzle Japanese mayo, sriracha, and eel sauce over the top to enhance the flavors.
  6. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F and bake or air fry for about 5 minutes until the top turns toasty.
  7. Remove the dish and sprinkle chopped green onions on top for an added burst of flavor.
  8. Serve alongside roasted seaweed, avocado, cucumbers, eel sauce, and spicy mayo for an extra layer of enjoyment.

Notes

For a creamier consistency, warm the cream cheese slightly before mixing. Experiment with additional toppings like sesame seeds or pickled ginger for variety.
