Description

Crispy and flavorful fritters combining canned tuna, mozzarella, and zesty seasonings, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz canned tuna fish, drained
  • 1/4 cup red onion, chopped
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • For the lemon aioli:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 lemon, half zested + full juiced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried mint
  • Pinch dried mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, add the drained tuna and mash it with a fork until flaky.
  2. Stir in the chopped red onion, shredded mozzarella, lightly beaten eggs, chopped parsley, mayonnaise, Sriracha, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix everything together until fully incorporated.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Scoop about 1/4 cup of the mixture into the pan and flatten it slightly. Cook for approximately 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the pan and serve with lemon aioli or lemon slices.

Notes

Consider adjusting the amount of Sriracha for spice level and adding different herbs or ingredients for variety.
