Ingredients
- – 1 (340 g) package egg noodles
- – 2 (298 g) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
- – 2 cups (200 g) shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
- – 2 (142 g) cans tuna, drained
- – 1 cup (150 g) frozen green peas
- – 1/2 (128 g) can sliced mushrooms
- – 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped onion
- – 1 cup (75 g) crushed potato chips
Instructions
- Collect all the necessary items.
- Fill a big pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and heat until it reaches a rolling boil. Cook the egg noodles in this boiling water until they are soft but still have a bit of firmness, approximately 7 to 9 minutes; then drain them. While waiting, set the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) to preheat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the noodles with the condensed soup, 1 cup of cheese, tuna, peas, mushrooms, and onion, stirring until everything is well mixed.
- Pour this mixture into a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Sprinkle the top with the crushed potato chips and the remaining 1 cup of cheese.
- Place in the already heated oven and bake until the cheese becomes bubbly, which should take around 15 to 20 minutes.
- Serve while hot and enjoy your meal!
Notes
- Consider adding a splash of milk to the condensed soup mixture for a creamier texture.
- Experiment with Swiss or Gruyere cheese for a unique flavor profile.
- Mix toasted breadcrumbs with crushed potato chips for added crunch before baking.
