Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water.
  2. Cook the linguine or fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. Drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of pasta water. Set aside.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the finely chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent.
  6. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
