Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
- 2 tablespoons butter (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the heavy cream to a simmer.
- Gradually add the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses while stirring continually until melted and smooth.
- Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce, mixing well.
- Pour the macaroni and cheese mixture into a greased baking dish.
- If desired, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the top for a crunchy topping.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For spicier mac and cheese, add cayenne pepper or use pepper jack cheese. Freshly grated cheese yields a creamier sauce.
