  • Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (3 grams)
  • Paprika, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (2 grams)
  • Olive oil, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters)
  • Lemon, 1, sliced
  • Fresh parsley, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (15 grams), chopped
  • Beef fat, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (28 grams)
  • Onion, 1 small, chopped
  • Red bell pepper, 1, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat dry the tilapia fillets with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Rub the spice mixture evenly onto both sides of the tilapia fillets.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
  6. Add chopped onion and red bell pepper to the skillet.
  7. Sauté until the onion is translucent and the pepper is soft, about 5 minutes.
  8. Push the vegetables to the side of the skillet.
  9. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt.
  10. Place the tilapia fillets in the skillet.
  11. Cook the fillets for 2 minutes on each side, until lightly browned.
  12. Remove the skillet from heat.
  13. Arrange lemon slices over the tilapia fillets.
  14. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  15. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  16. Remove the skillet from the oven.
  17. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the tilapia.
  18. Serve the tilapia with the sautéed vegetables and lemon slices.
