- Fresh parsley, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (15 grams), chopped
- Beef fat, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (28 grams)
- Onion, 1 small, chopped
- Red bell pepper, 1, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat dry the tilapia fillets with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Rub the spice mixture evenly onto both sides of the tilapia fillets.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and red bell pepper to the skillet.
- Sauté until the onion is translucent and the pepper is soft, about 5 minutes.
- Push the vegetables to the side of the skillet.
- Add butter to the skillet and let it melt.
- Place the tilapia fillets in the skillet.
- Cook the fillets for 2 minutes on each side, until lightly browned.
- Remove the skillet from heat.
- Arrange lemon slices over the tilapia fillets.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the skillet from the oven.
- Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the tilapia.
- Serve the tilapia with the sautéed vegetables and lemon slices.
