Ingredients
- 4 tilapia fillets
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- Fresh lemon wedges for serving
- Fresh herbs for garnish, such as parsley or cilantro
Instructions
- Pat the tilapia fillets dry using a paper towel.
- Season both sides of the fillets with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Dredge each fillet in all-purpose flour, shaking off the excess.
- In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
- Once the butter is bubbling, add the fillets to the skillet.
- Cook the tilapia for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky.
- Remove the fillets from the skillet and transfer them onto a plate.
Notes
Serve with lemon wedges and fresh herbs for enhanced flavor. Leftover fillets can be used for fish tacos.
