Description

A simple and delightful pan-fried tilapia fillet recipe, perfect for weeknight dinners or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • Fresh lemon wedges for serving
  • Fresh herbs for garnish, such as parsley or cilantro

Instructions

  1. Pat the tilapia fillets dry using a paper towel.
  2. Season both sides of the fillets with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Dredge each fillet in all-purpose flour, shaking off the excess.
  4. In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  5. Once the butter is bubbling, add the fillets to the skillet.
  6. Cook the tilapia for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky.
  7. Remove the fillets from the skillet and transfer them onto a plate.

Notes

Serve with lemon wedges and fresh herbs for enhanced flavor. Leftover fillets can be used for fish tacos.
