Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) (45 milliliters) vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 grams) minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters) soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters) soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 grams) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters) lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (5 grams) chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 grams) sliced green onions


Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.
  5. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on one side until pink.
  6. Flip the shrimp and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add the soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper to the skillet.
  8. Stir well to coat the shrimp evenly with the sauce.
  9. Pour the lime juice over the shrimp and stir to combine.
  10. Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the shrimp to a serving dish.
  11. Sprinkle the chopped cilantro and sliced green onions over the shrimp.
