A sweet and savory teriyaki salmon recipe that brings back warm family memories, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 4 fresh salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil until mixed well.
- Place salmon fillets in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the marinated salmon fillets without overcrowding.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
- Drizzle with remaining marinade and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
For added kick, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes to the marinade. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
