Description

A delightful teriyaki salmon recipe that combines sweet and savory flavors with tender, flaky fish, perfect for a weeknight dinner or special occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the low-sodium soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, freshly grated ginger, and sesame oil until mixed well.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the marinated salmon fillets without overcrowding.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
  6. Drizzle with remaining marinade and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

For a touch of added flavor, consider broiling the salmon for the last 2-3 minutes or experimenting with different herbs and citrus juices.
