A delightful teriyaki salmon recipe that combines sweet and savory flavors with tender, flaky fish, perfect for a weeknight dinner or special occasion.
Ingredients
- 4 fresh salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the low-sodium soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, freshly grated ginger, and sesame oil until mixed well.
- Place salmon fillets in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the marinated salmon fillets without overcrowding.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
- Drizzle with remaining marinade and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
For a touch of added flavor, consider broiling the salmon for the last 2-3 minutes or experimenting with different herbs and citrus juices.
