Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets, 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams)
  • Soy sauce, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (60 milliliters)
  • Honey, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters)
  • Brown sugar, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (25 grams)
  • Garlic, 2 cloves (minced)
  • Ginger, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (grated)
  • Vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters)
  • Rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters)
  • Cornstarch, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (8 grams)
  • Water, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters)
  • Cooked rice, 2 cups (480 ml) (370 grams)
  • Broccoli florets, 2 cups (480 ml) (150 grams)
  • Beef, 1 (sliced)
  • Green onions, 2 (sliced)
  • Sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (9 grams)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
  3. Heat the saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth.
  5. Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly.
  6. Cook the sauce until it thickens, then remove from heat.
  7. Place salmon fillets in a baking dish, skin side down.
  8. Pour half of the teriyaki sauce over the salmon, reserving the rest.
  9. Season the salmon with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Bake the salmon in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  11. While the salmon is baking, steam the broccoli florets until tender.
  12. Heat a small pan over medium heat and sauté the sliced carrot until tender.
  13. Divide cooked rice into bowls.
  14. Top the rice with steamed broccoli and sautéed carrots.
  15. Place a salmon fillet on top of each bowl.
  16. Drizzle the reserved teriyaki sauce over the salmon and vegetables.
  17. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  18. Serve immediately and enjoy.
