Ingredients
- Salmon fillets, 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams)
- Soy sauce, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (60 milliliters)
- Honey, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters)
- Brown sugar, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (25 grams)
- Garlic, 2 cloves (minced)
- Ginger, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (grated)
- Vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters)
- Rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters)
- Cornstarch, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (8 grams)
- Water, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters)
- Cooked rice, 2 cups (480 ml) (370 grams)
- Broccoli florets, 2 cups (480 ml) (150 grams)
- Beef, 1 (sliced)
- Green onions, 2 (sliced)
- Sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (9 grams)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
- Heat the saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves.
- In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly.
- Cook the sauce until it thickens, then remove from heat.
- Place salmon fillets in a baking dish, skin side down.
- Pour half of the teriyaki sauce over the salmon, reserving the rest.
- Season the salmon with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake the salmon in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
- While the salmon is baking, steam the broccoli florets until tender.
- Heat a small pan over medium heat and sauté the sliced carrot until tender.
- Divide cooked rice into bowls.
- Top the rice with steamed broccoli and sautéed carrots.
- Place a salmon fillet on top of each bowl.
- Drizzle the reserved teriyaki sauce over the salmon and vegetables.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
