Description

Learn how to make delicious sweet chili shrimp with this easy recipe! Perfect for a quick and flavorful meal. Try it today!

Ingredients

  • 454 g raw shrimp, peeled and deveined (1 lb)
  • 30 ml vegetable oil (2 tbsp)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of one lime
  • 120 ml sweet chili sauce, your choice of what kind (1/2 cup)
  • 15 ml fresh chopped chives (1 tbsp)
  • 9 g sesame seeds (1 tbsp)

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet on high flame, add the vegetable oil and minced garlic. Let the garlic sizzle for roughly one minute.
  2. Introduce the peeled and deveined shrimp, and shake the skillet gently. Allow the shrimp to cook until they’re nearly done, approximately 3 minutes.
  3. Drizzle with lime juice and toss the shrimp well to evenly coat them.
  4. Pour in the sweet chili sauce, mix thoroughly, and let it simmer briefly. Take the skillet off the heat.
  5. Scatter sesame seeds and freshly chopped chives on top, and add extra lime wedges if preferred.
  6. Delicious on their own or paired with a small serving of rice.

Notes

  • Marinate shrimp in sweet chili sauce for 30 minutes before cooking for a flavor boost.
  • Experiment with various sweet chili sauces to discover your preferred taste.
  • Cook shrimp just until opaque and slightly firm, avoid overcooking. Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley for extra freshness.
