Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined (450 grams)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) gochujang (30 grams)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce (30 milliliters)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey (30 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil (15 milliliters)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ginger, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil (15 milliliters)
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) sesame seeds, toasted
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger until well combined.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the marinade.
- Let the shrimp marinate for 15-20 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced red and green bell peppers to the skillet.
- Sauté the bell peppers for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
- Remove the bell peppers from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the marinated shrimp in a single layer.
- Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through.
- Return the bell peppers to the skillet with the shrimp.
- Stir everything together and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat the peppers through.
- Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Serve immediately.
