Ingredients
- 2 cans (390g) refrigerated pizza dough
- 8 oz (227g) beef pepperoni
- 1/4 cup (60ml) olive oil
- 1 1/2 tsp (8 ml) dried Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 jar (396g) tomato pizza sauce, heated
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Lightly coat two 9-inch pie tins or a 13×9-inch dish with a nonstick cooking spray. Take the dough out from both cans. Unroll each piece, and starting from the center, stretch each dough sheet with your hands to create a 12×8-inch rectangle. Slice each rectangle into 24 smaller squares.
- Place a cheese cube and a slice of pepperoni on each square. Encase the filling completely by folding the dough around it, ensuring the edges are sealed tightly. Arrange them with the seam facing down and sides touching in the prepared pie tins.
- In a small bowl, stir together the olive oil and Italian seasoning until well combined. Pour this mixture over the dough-wrapped bites in the dishes. Dust with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 16 to 22 minutes until they turn a golden brown color. Enjoy these warm pizza bites with the hot tomato pizza sauce.
Notes
- For a spicier flavor, try using spicy beef pepperoni instead of regular pepperoni.
- Enhance the taste by brushing the dough-wrapped bites with garlic-infused olive oil.
- Add a gooey finish by sprinkling shredded mozzarella cheese on top before baking.
