A fast and exciting dish featuring shrimp sautéed with vibrant Cajun spices and served over rice.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Cooked rice (for serving)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot over cooked rice and garnish with sliced green onions.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using fresh shrimp instead of frozen, and adjust spices to your liking.
