Description

A delightful blend of Cajun flavors and fresh shrimp, bringing warmth and spice to your dinner table.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and bell pepper, and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper, stirring to combine.
  5. Add shrimp to the skillet, and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Pour in diced tomatoes and chicken broth, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve over rice or alongside bread to soak up the sauce. Feel free to adjust the cayenne pepper to increase spiciness.
