Description

Crispy rice topped with creamy avocado and spicy ahi tuna delivers a thrilling medley of textures and flavors, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup spicy ahi tuna, diced
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • Nori (optional)
  • Soy sauce (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions and season with rice vinegar, salt, and sugar.
  2. Press the seasoned rice into a rectangular mold and refrigerate until firm.
  3. Once set, cut the rice into crispy rectangles.
  4. Heat sesame oil in a pan and fry the rice rectangles until golden and crispy.
  5. Top each crispy rice piece with a slice of avocado and a dollop of spicy ahi tuna.
  6. Garnish with a slice of jalapeño and serve with soy sauce.

Notes

For garnish, serving with nori can elevate visual appeal, and incorporating additional spices into the tuna will adjust the heat to your preference.
