Description

Delicious spicy shrimp tacos featuring marinated shrimp, crunchy slaw, and creamy avocado crema, all wrapped in warm tortillas.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Corn or flour tortillas
  • 2 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 avocado, mashed
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add shrimp into the bowl and marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare the slaw by combining cabbage, grated carrot, and mayonnaise in a separate bowl.
  3. Create the avocado crema by blending mashed avocado with lime juice and a pinch of salt.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are fully cooked through.
  5. Assemble the tacos by placing shrimp on the tortillas, topping them with the slaw and avocado crema.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.
