Description

A quick and flavorful recipe for spicy shrimp tacos, perfect for summer gatherings or a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup creamy spicy sauce (such as chipotle sauce or sriracha mixed with mayonnaise)
  • 8 small tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the shrimp until they are pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Remove from heat and mix the cooked shrimp with the creamy spicy sauce.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  5. Assemble the tacos by placing a portion of the shrimp mixture in each tortilla.
  6. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro.
  7. Serve with lime wedges and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra kick, marinate the shrimp for 30 minutes before cooking. Customize the sauce to your taste by adding lime juice or jalapeños.
