A flavorful and simple dish combining fresh salmon with zesty spices and pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
- 6 oz salmon fillet, skin removed
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil, chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and season the salmon with salt and pepper.
- Add the salmon to the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes on each side until it flakes easily with a fork.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until aromatic.
- Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet, tossing it with the salmon, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and sprinkle with chopped herbs.
- Toss everything together and serve piping hot.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the salmon for the best flavor. Experiment with spice levels to suit your taste.
