Description

A flavorful and simple dish combining fresh salmon with zesty spices and pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 6 oz salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and season the salmon with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the salmon to the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes on each side until it flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until aromatic.
  5. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet, tossing it with the salmon, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  6. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and sprinkle with chopped herbs.
  7. Toss everything together and serve piping hot.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the salmon for the best flavor. Experiment with spice levels to suit your taste.
