Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons chili paste (30 g)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (15 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (15 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (5 g)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (15 ml)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water (15 ml)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (9 g)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix gochujang paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar until smooth.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Crack the eggs into the skillet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  4. Cook the eggs until the whites are set but yolks are still runny, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Pour the gochujang mixture evenly over the eggs.
  6. Add the tablespoon of water to the skillet and cover with a lid.
  7. Let the eggs steam for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  8. Remove the lid and sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds over the eggs.
  9. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  10. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Adjust the chili paste quantity to your preferred level of spiciness.
  • Use a non-stick skillet to prevent the eggs from sticking.
  • Sprinkle additional sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.
