Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined (450 grams)
- 8 ounces (227 g) rice noodles (225 grams)
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) vegetable oil (45 milliliters)
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) ginger, grated (15 grams)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce (30 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce (15 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chili paste (15 grams)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sesame oil (5 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey (15 milliliters)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Soak rice noodles in hot water for 10 minutes or until soft, then drain and set aside.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp to the pan, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
- Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili paste, sesame oil, and honey, mixing well.
- Add drained rice noodles to the pan, tossing them in the sauce until well-coated.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the pan, mixing with noodles and sauce.
- Stir in chopped green onions, cooking for an additional minute.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper if needed.
- Transfer to serving plates and garnish with chopped cilantro.
- Serve immediately while hot.
