Description

Sizzling garlic butter shrimp with a blend of spices, offering a burst of flavor in each bite, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 200g (0.5 lb) large or jumbo shrimp
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder (sweet or smoked)
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp butter (cold; salted or unsalted)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or cilantro


Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Season the shrimp with salt, black pepper, paprika, and red chili flakes.
  4. Place the shrimp in the skillet, cooking for about 2-3 minutes on each side until bright pink and curled.
  5. Reduce heat to low and add cold butter and lemon juice, stirring until the butter melts and coats the shrimp.
  6. Sprinkle chopped parsley or cilantro over the shrimp and serve immediately.

Notes

When selecting shrimp, choose fresh ones free of off-putting odors. Adjust red chili flakes for desired heat level.
