Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) lump crab meat
  • 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters) soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters) hot sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) (30 grams) green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) (30 grams) cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (30 milliliters) lime juice
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup (240 ml) (100 grams) panko breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Chop the shrimp into small pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, combine crab meat and chopped shrimp.
  3. Add soy sauce, hot sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the bowl.
  4. Stir in green onions, cilantro, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Pour lime juice over the mixture and mix well.
  6. Add the beaten egg to the bowl and stir until combined.
  7. Gradually add panko breadcrumbs, mixing until the mixture holds together.
  8. Form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  9. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  10. Carefully add the crab shrimp balls to the hot oil.
  11. Fry the balls until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  12. Remove the balls from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  13. Serve the spicy crab shrimp bombs warm.
