Description
A vibrant and flavorful seafood boil featuring shrimp, crab legs, and mussels with a kick of Cajun seasoning, perfect for communal dining.
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, deveined
- 1 lb crab legs
- 1 lb mussels or clams
- 1 lb potatoes, quartered
- 1 corn on the cob, cut into pieces
- 1/4 cup Cajun seasoning
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 lemons, halved
- Salt to taste
- Water
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add salt and Cajun seasoning.
- Add the potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Add corn and continue to boil for another 5 minutes.
- Add the crab legs and mussels (or clams) and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
- Finally, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Drain the water and return the seafood and vegetables to the pot.
- Add butter and squeeze lemon juice over the feast.
- Mix gently and serve hot with extra lemon on the side.
Notes
For best flavor, use fresh seafood from local markets. Experiment with homemade Cajun seasoning for a richer flavor.
