Description

A delightful blend of spicy blackened shrimp with creamy sauce over egg noodles, perfect for a family meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until blackened and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the onions, mushrooms, and garlic. Sauté until soft.
  5. Stir in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Add in the heavy cream and cook until the sauce thickens.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions.
  8. Combine the cooked shrimp and drained noodles with the sauce. Stir well and season with salt and pepper.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning according to spice preference. Lemon juice can be added for brightness.
