A delightful blend of spicy blackened shrimp with creamy sauce over egg noodles, perfect for a family meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Toss the shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until blackened and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onions, mushrooms, and garlic. Sauté until soft.
- Stir in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Add in the heavy cream and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions.
- Combine the cooked shrimp and drained noodles with the sauce. Stir well and season with salt and pepper.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
Adjust Cajun seasoning according to spice preference. Lemon juice can be added for brightness.
