Description

A creamy pasta dish combining smoked salmon and spaghetti for a vibrant twist on classic carbonara.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 4 oz smoked salmon, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, sauté minced garlic over medium heat until fragrant.
  4. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and quickly pour in the egg mixture, stirring constantly to create a creamy sauce (do not cook the eggs).
  6. Fold in the smoked salmon gently until fully combined.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Use high-quality smoked salmon for the best flavor. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese always provides a better taste than pre-grated versions.
