Description
A creamy pasta dish combining smoked salmon and spaghetti for a vibrant twist on classic carbonara.
Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 4 oz smoked salmon, chopped
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, sauté minced garlic over medium heat until fragrant.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic.
- Remove the skillet from heat and quickly pour in the egg mixture, stirring constantly to create a creamy sauce (do not cook the eggs).
- Fold in the smoked salmon gently until fully combined.
- Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
Use high-quality smoked salmon for the best flavor. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese always provides a better taste than pre-grated versions.
