Description

A simple and flavorful shrimp boil made in a slow cooker, capturing the essence of coastal celebrations with shrimp, corn, and smoked sausage.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound baby potatoes, halved
  • 3 ears of corn, cut into thirds
  • 1/2 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In the slow cooker, add the baby potatoes, corn, and sliced smoked sausage.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and stir in the Old Bay seasoning.
  3. Squeeze the lemon halves into the mixture and add them to the pot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, gently fold in the shrimp.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes
