Description
Delicious shrimp wontons filled with shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, ginger, and garlic, perfect for a comforting meal or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 package gluten-free wonton wrappers
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Wonton sauce for serving
Instructions
- Combine the shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped but not pureed.
- Lay one wonton wrapper on a clean surface and place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center.
- Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold over to create a triangle, and seal tightly. Repeat with remaining filling.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook wontons in batches for 3-4 minutes or until they float to the surface.
- Serve hot with wonton sauce.
Notes
Keep wonton wrappers covered with a damp cloth to prevent them from drying out. For a different twist, consider steaming the wontons instead of boiling.
