Description

Delicious shrimp wontons filled with shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, ginger, and garlic, perfect for a comforting meal or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 package gluten-free wonton wrappers
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wonton sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine the shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, ginger, garlic, salt, and pepper in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped but not pureed.
  2. Lay one wonton wrapper on a clean surface and place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold over to create a triangle, and seal tightly. Repeat with remaining filling.
  4. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook wontons in batches for 3-4 minutes or until they float to the surface.
  5. Serve hot with wonton sauce.

Notes

Keep wonton wrappers covered with a damp cloth to prevent them from drying out. For a different twist, consider steaming the wontons instead of boiling.
