Delicious shrimp tacos bursting with flavor, featuring marinated shrimp, crisp veggies, and a creamy avocado crema.
Ingredients
- 450g raw shrimp
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon coriander (ground or fresh)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup shredded green cabbage
- 1 cup grated carrot
- Fresh coriander (cilantro) for garnish
- 4-6 flour tortillas
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 small ripe avocado
- Juice of 1 fresh lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix raw shrimp with paprika, coriander, garlic, and olive oil. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the shrimp until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- While the shrimp is cooking, prepare the avocado crema by blending plain Greek yoghurt, avocado, fresh lime juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Warm flour tortillas in a dry pan.
- Assemble the tacos by placing the cooked shrimp on the tortillas, topping with shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and fresh cilantro.
- Drizzle with avocado crema and serve immediately.
Notes
Avoid overcooking shrimp to keep them tender. Customize toppings based on personal preference.
