Description

A classic shrimp scampi that combines succulent shrimp with rich garlic and buttery flavors, perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Cooked pasta (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  4. Pour in the lemon juice and let it simmer for another 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in the fresh parsley and remove from heat.
  6. Serve over cooked pasta if desired.

Notes

Use high-quality shrimp for the best flavor. Fresh or frozen shrimp work well, but fresh is preferable. Adjust red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
