A classic shrimp scampi that combines succulent shrimp with rich garlic and buttery flavors, perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Cooked pasta (optional for serving)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Pour in the lemon juice and let it simmer for another 2 minutes.
- Stir in the fresh parsley and remove from heat.
- Serve over cooked pasta if desired.
Notes
Use high-quality shrimp for the best flavor. Fresh or frozen shrimp work well, but fresh is preferable. Adjust red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
