A delicious and easy shrimp scampi pasta recipe that blends fresh shrimp, garlic, and herbs for a restaurant-quality dish at home.
Ingredients
- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the lemon juice, then let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the shrimp mixture, tossing to combine.
- Stir in the parsley, and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add lemon zest and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
