Description

A flavorful shrimp and scallops dish cooked in garlic butter, perfect for summer dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound scallops, cleaned
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimp and scallops with salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside to marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted and is bubbling, add the scallops in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining butter and minced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Return the scallops to the skillet with the shrimp. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and toss everything gently to combine.
  6. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the seafood to keep it tender. Pair with lemon wedges for extra freshness.
