Description
A flavorful shrimp and scallops dish cooked in garlic butter, perfect for summer dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound scallops, cleaned
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the shrimp and scallops with salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside to marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted and is bubbling, add the scallops in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the remaining butter and minced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- Return the scallops to the skillet with the shrimp. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and toss everything gently to combine.
- Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the seafood to keep it tender. Pair with lemon wedges for extra freshness.
