Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Dip each shrimp into the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off.
  4. Coat each shrimp in the flour and cornmeal mixture, pressing lightly.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Fry shrimp in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove shrimp from oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, hot sauce, and lemon juice.
  9. Split slider buns and spread mayonnaise mixture on each half.
  10. Place a layer of shredded lettuce on the bottom half of each bun.
  11. Add a slice of tomato on top of the lettuce.
  12. Place 2-3 fried shrimp on top of the tomato slice.
  13. Cover with the top half of the bun.

Notes

  • Marinate shrimp in Cajun seasoning and buttermilk for 30 minutes before breading and frying for enhanced flavor.
  • Add more hot sauce to mayo for a spicier taste.
  • Enhance sliders with thinly sliced red onion or pickles for added color.
