Description

Indulge in a delectable Shrimp Pizza with Alfredo Sauce recipe that combines succulent shrimp with creamy alfredo sauce on a crispy crust. Learn how to make this gourmet pizza at home!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (480 ml) medium size shrimp, cooked or raw, cleaned and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup (90 g) grated alternative cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) half and half (half milk/half cream) or heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons (45 g) all-purpose white flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) sliced green onion

Instructions

  1. Prepare a basic pizza dough recipe or opt for a quality store-bought version.
  2. Set your oven to preheat at 425 degrees. Ensure the oven is fully preheated before placing the pizza inside.
  3. Drizzle approximately 1 tablespoon of oil onto your pizza pan. Stretch the dough to fit your pan. For a crunchy crust, maintain a thin layer.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the grated alternative cheese and flour, then set it aside.
  5. Warm up vegetable oil in a medium-sized skillet over medium-high heat. Introduce the garlic and sauté until it becomes soft and aromatic, roughly 2 minutes.
  6. Pour in the half and half or heavy cream, bringing it to a gentle simmer. Incorporate the cheese and flour mixture. Whisk with a wire whisk until the sauce thickens and the cheese melts, about 2-3 minutes. Add a pinch of salt and pepper, adjusting to taste if necessary.
  7. Spread approximately half a cup of the sauce over the pizza dough for a 12-inch pizza. You might have some leftover sauce, which can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  8. Layer the shrimp and green onions on top. Scatter an extra handful of grated alternative cheese over it.
  9. Bake for around 20 minutes or until the crust turns lightly golden and the sauce bubbles at the edges.
  10. Allow it to cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
  11. Any remaining pizza dough can be refrigerated for up to 5 days or frozen for 3 months. The leftover Alfredo sauce can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • Consider using heavy cream instead of half and half in the Alfredo sauce for a richer flavor.
  • Thoroughly clean and devein the shrimp before adding them to the pizza.
  • Experiment with alternative cheeses for a unique twist on this recipe.
