  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) (1.25 grams) black pepper
  • 2 cup (480 ml) s (250 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 grams) baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) salt
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) (115 grams) cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup (240 ml) (115 grams) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) (180 milliliters) milk
  • 1 cup (240 ml) (115 grams) shredded cheddar cheese for queso
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 grams) cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) (120 milliliters) whole milk
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) (60 milliliters) sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 milliliters) hot sauce
  • 2 green onions, chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add shrimp to the bowl and drizzle with olive oil, then toss to coat evenly.
  4. Place the shrimp on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  7. Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Gradually add milk to the flour mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  9. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 8 equal pieces.
  10. Shape each piece into a cone and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
