Description

Transform fresh shrimp into a flavorful dish with this simple marinade, using garlic, lemon, and spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the shrimp in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over them.
  3. Seal the bag and ensure the shrimp are well coated with the flavorful mixture.
  4. Refrigerate the marinating shrimp for 30 minutes to an hour.
  5. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  6. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers.
  7. Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are opaque and thoroughly cooked.
  8. Remove from the grill, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use the freshest shrimp possible and avoid over-marinating to prevent mushiness.
