Ingredients
- 1 pound linguine noodles
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley
- Zest from 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
- Crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add oil to prevent sticking. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente.
- Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat, then sauté the minced garlic for about one minute.
- Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and sauté for 4-5 minutes until pink and cooked through. Remove from heat.
- Add parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon slices, and crushed red pepper to the skillet, combining well.
- Drain the linguine and add it to the skillet. Toss to combine with the shrimp mixture and top with parmesan cheese.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Adjust crushed red pepper for desired heat level. Perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.
