Ingredients

  • 8 ounce (227 g) s (225 grams) spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters) olive oil
  • 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 ounce (227 g) s (225 grams) crab meat
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (15 milliliters) lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (30 grams) butter
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) (60 milliliters) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) (50 grams) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (8 grams) chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Add crab meat to the skillet, stirring gently to combine with the garlic.
  7. Stir in lemon zest and lemon juice, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  8. Add butter to the skillet and allow it to melt completely.
  9. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine with the seafood mixture.
  10. Gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  11. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper to taste.
  12. Return cooked shrimp to the skillet, stirring to coat with the sauce.
  13. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine with the sauce and seafood.
  14. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spaghetti is heated through.
  15. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
  16. Transfer the mixture to a greased, flat baking dish, spreading evenly.
  17. Allow it to cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
  18. Once set, cut into squares and serve.
