Description

A delightful shrimp and crab pasta dish with a creamy Cajun sauce that brings seaside flavors to your table.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp (cleaned and deveined)
  • 8 ounces linguine
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Chopped parsley (a few sprigs)
  • 1 Roma tomato (finely diced)
  • ¼ cup Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the cleaned shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and ½ teaspoon of Cajun seasoning.
  2. Cook the linguine according to the package instructions to al dente, then set aside.
  3. Heat a large pan over medium heat, adding the oil and butter. Once melted, add shrimp in a single layer and incorporate the minced garlic. Cook for 2 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes or until shrimp are pink and fully cooked.
  4. Pour the half-and-half into the pan and add the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. Gently boil while whisking continuously for about 2 minutes.
  5. Turn off the heat, add the pasta, diced tomato, chopped parsley, and remaining Cajun seasoning. Mix well and add lemon juice if desired.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Use high-quality seafood for the best flavor, and be careful not to overcook the shrimp.
