Description

Delicious bite-sized snacks featuring shrimp and crab, packed with garlic and herbs, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1/2 lb lump crab meat (well-drained)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (or melted butter)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the shrimp, crab meat, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, and Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  3. Stir in the beaten egg, parsley, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until the mixture feels moist but not overly wet.
  4. Scoop the mixture and form it into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  5. Arrange the formed bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each.
  6. Drizzle olive oil or melted butter over the bombs.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and the shrimp are cooked through.
  8. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For variations, consider using different shellfish or adding finely chopped vegetables. Make ahead and refrigerate before baking.
