Ingredients
- 1 lb raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1/2 lb lump crab meat (well-drained)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil (or melted butter)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the shrimp, crab meat, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, and Parmesan cheese until well combined.
- Stir in the beaten egg, parsley, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until the mixture feels moist but not overly wet.
- Scoop the mixture and form it into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
- Arrange the formed bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each.
- Drizzle olive oil or melted butter over the bombs.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and the shrimp are cooked through.
- Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
For variations, consider using different shellfish or adding finely chopped vegetables. Make ahead and refrigerate before baking.
