Description

A creamy, luxurious Shrimp and Crab Alfredo with plump shrimp and rich crab meat tossed in a velvety sauce over fettuccine.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup grated Romano cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil, then add the fettuccine or your pasta choice. Cook according to package instructions, then drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add crab meat to the same skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Remove and set aside with shrimp.
  4. Melt butter in the skillet and add the minced garlic, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan and Romano cheese, allowing them to melt into the sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to taste.
  6. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
  7. Combine cooked pasta with the Alfredo sauce in the skillet, ensuring it is thoroughly coated. Gently stir in shrimp and crab meat, cooking for 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  8. Plate the dish and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use high-quality, freshly grated cheese for the best results. A twist of lemon can enhance flavors.
