Description

A refreshing and zesty shrimp cocktail, perfect for gatherings and warm weather events, featuring tender shrimp paired with a vibrant cocktail sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Avocado slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the shrimp in salted water until they turn pink, about 3-5 minutes. Drain and chill.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, tomatoes, onion, cucumber, cilantro, and jalapeño.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the ketchup and lime juice, then pour over the shrimp mixture.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve in individual cups or bowls, garnished with avocado slices.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor, and consider adjusting the lime juice to taste for a brighter dish.
