Description

A creamy and dreamy shrimp casserole that combines tender shrimp with cheesy goodness and fluffy rice, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the shrimp with butter until they turn pink. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Fold in the cooked rice and shredded cheddar cheese with the shrimp until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the shrimp and rice mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and the casserole bubbles.
  6. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving hot, optionally garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using fresh herbs or spices, and feel free to customize with seasonal vegetables.
