Description
A flavorful shrimp boil filled with tender shrimp, smoky sausage, and fragrant corn, seasoned with Old Bay and Cajun butter for a delicious coastal dining experience.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, deveined and shelled
- 1 pound smoked sausage, cut into pieces
- 4 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
- 2 cups baby potatoes
- 2 ears corn, cut into quarters
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Fill a large stockpot halfway with water and bring to a boil.
- Add 4 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning to the boiling water.
- Add baby potatoes and corn to the pot, cooking for 8–10 minutes until tender.
- Add shrimp and smoked sausage to the pot, cooking for an additional minute until shrimp are pink and opaque.
- While boiling, mix melted butter with Cajun seasoning to create a Cajun butter sauce.
- Carefully drain the cooked ingredients in a colander.
- Toss the shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn in the Cajun butter sauce.
- Serve on a large platter, garnished with parsley and lemon wedges.
Notes
Feel free to add additional vegetables like bell peppers or onions for extra flavor. Adjust the seasoning to fit your taste preferences.
