Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined (450 grams)
- 1 pound (454 g) beef steak (450 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil (15 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice (15 milliliters)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) chili powder (2 grams)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) cumin (2 grams)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) paprika (2 grams)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup (240 ml) shredded lettuce (60 grams)
- 1 cup (240 ml) diced tomatoes (150 grams)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped fresh cilantro (15 grams)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) yogurt (60 milliliters)
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, combine shrimp with 1/2 tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 tablespoon lime juice, 1 minced garlic clove, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, and 1/2 teaspoon paprika.
- Season shrimp with salt and black pepper to taste.
- In another bowl, combine flank steak with 1/2 tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 tablespoon lime juice, 1 minced garlic clove, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, and 1/2 teaspoon paprika.
- Season steak with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Grill shrimp on preheated grill for 2-3 minutes per side, until opaque and cooked through.
- Remove shrimp from grill and set aside.
- Grill flank steak for 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
- Remove steak from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
- Warm corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds per side.
- Assemble tacos by placing sliced steak and grilled shrimp on each tortilla.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and avocado slices.
- Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro.
- Drizzle with sour cream and squeeze lime wedges over the top.
- Serve immediately.
