Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water.
- Cook the Shrimp: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Sauté the Aromatics: In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Cook the Bell Peppers: Introduce the sliced bell peppers to the pan.
- Combine Everything: Return the cooked shrimp to the pan and pour in the prepared sauce.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or jalapeños while cooking the vegetables. Serve over jasmine rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
