Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water.
  2. Cook the Shrimp: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Sauté the Aromatics: In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  4. Cook the Bell Peppers: Introduce the sliced bell peppers to the pan.
  5. Combine Everything: Return the cooked shrimp to the pan and pour in the prepared sauce.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or jalapeños while cooking the vegetables. Serve over jasmine rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
