Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) cooked shrimp, chopped (about 150 grams)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cooked crab meat, shredded (about 150 grams)
  • 4 ounce (113 g) s cream cheese, softened (about 115 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce (about 15 milliliters)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder (about 5 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder (about 5 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) ground black pepper (about 1 gram)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) green onions, finely chopped (about 25 grams)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) cilantro, chopped (about 15 grams)
  • 1 package wonton wrappers (about 12 ounce (340 g) s or 340 grams)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) vegetable oil, for frying (about 240 milliliters)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) shredded cheddar cheese (about 100 grams)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) sour cream (about 120 milliliters)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sweet chili sauce (about 60 milliliters)


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped shrimp and shredded crab meat.
  2. Add the softened cream cheese to the seafood mixture.
  3. Pour in the soy sauce, and mix until well combined.
  4. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, and ground black pepper.
  5. Add the finely chopped green onions and chopped cilantro to the mixture.
  6. Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  7. Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface.
  8. Place a small spoonful of the seafood mixture in the center of each wrapper.
  9. Moisten the edges of the wonton wrappers with water.
  10. Fold the wrappers in half diagonally, pressing the edges to seal.
  11. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  12. Carefully add the wontons to the hot oil in batches.
  13. Fry the wontons until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  14. Remove the fried wontons with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  15. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  16. Arrange the fried wontons on a baking sheet.
  17. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the wontons.
  18. Bake in the oven until the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
