Ingredients
- 12 oz (340 g) spaghetti
- 8 oz (225 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz (225 g) imitation crab meat
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) red pepper flakes
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (15 g)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (15 g)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add spaghetti to the boiling water and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- Drain the spaghetti and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in crab meat and cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine.
- Pour in the reserved pasta water, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Add chopped parsley and basil to the skillet and toss well.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
